Barkin
Abe works for a large insurance company located in
the northern suburbs of Chicago. Abe is responsible for the Business Continuity
and Planning (BCP) Team, Security Education and Awareness and Reverification of
access rights for the enterprise. The BCP Team encompasses work on strategy,
planning, exercising, and maintenance and provides detailed business impact
assessments. Abe has been in information security for over twenty years with
experience in the health care industry, manufacturing, banking and insurance.

Pete brings nearly 20 years of successful IT sales and
sales management experience across the full IT stack of products,

Pete began his career
with NCR Corporation in the
Chicago
area. Following that he spent several years focused on selling IT
outsourcing, managed services, and IP transformation with AT&T Solutions
and Global Crossing, and the France Telecom Group. Pete has led sales
teams based in the Central and Mid Atlantic United States and has worked
extensively with Cisco, HP, VM Ware, Microsoft, and many other solution
partners.

John Nootens is the Director of Networking at
the American
Medical Association.
Mr. Nootens has worked on the
systems and support end of IT his whole career. From mainframes
and their SNA network of controllers and terminals, through the
first PCs and island LANs, on thru bridged/brouted/routed local
area networks and WANs. With significant concentration in
Networking, Security, Operations, Network and Application
Performance and Capacity Planning, John has become and expert in
High Availability, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

the use of that technology. John has been able to help major

Steve Olson is an IT

Steve has worked for Unisys, Chevron, and Career Education where jobs
have included sales, sales support, project management, consulting,
disaster recovery, business continuity, and IT Management. In his
current role, Steve is responsible for IT Continuity and Disaster
Recovery for education delivery systems. Steve holds the CISSP
certification from ISC2. Steve also teaches post-secondary degree

Corporation. A 31-year industry veteran and
published author, he leads
the shaping of strategic vision, emerging technologies,
defining future offering portfolios including business and
technology requirements, product planning and
industry/customer liaison. He is a member of the SNIA Board
of Directors, serves as Chair of the
SNIA Tutorials, as a Board member of the Green Storage
Initiative, and as Secretary/Treasurer of the Blade Systems
Alliance. He has extensive experience in storage
virtualization, the architecture of large heterogeneous SANs,
replication and archiving strategy, disaster avoidance and
compliance, information risk management, distributed cluster
storage architectures and is a sought-after speaker and
panelist at leading storage and networking-related seminars
and conferences worldwide. Prior to joining Xiotech in
August 2000, Mr. Peglar held key technology specialist and
engineering management positions over a nine-year period at
StorageTek and at their networking subsidiary, Network
Systems Corporation. Prior to StorageTek, he held
engineering development and product management positions at
Control Data Corporation and its supercomputer division, ETA
Systems. Mr. Peglar holds the B.S. degree in Computer
Science from Washington University, St. Louis Missouri, and
performed graduate work at Washington University’s Sever
Institute of Engineering. His research background includes
I/O performance analysis, queuing theory, parallel systems
architecture and OS design, storage networking protocols,
clustering algorithms and virtual systems optimization.

His broad background includes over 20 years in the IT industry
from computer/software sales, technical support, programming,
product development, change management, project management, IT
team management and regulatory compliance issues regarding
JCAHO, HIPAA and PCI.

Mr. Wenk
is a management consultant and has consulted worldwide with large
Fortune 500 customers. His experience includes developing architectures
and strategies for highly available, resilient and secure
infrastructures in heterogeneous IT environments; virtually anywhere IT
is mission critical to business success. He has performed quantitative
operational risk assessments that were used to justify the significant
investments required to build, transform and maintain resilient
infrastructures in over 20 different countries and developed a number of
risk-based services that increase resiliency and improve continuity
programs. Dennis has written award-winning professional articles and is
a regular speaker at industry conferences world-wide. He has MBA in
Accounting and Finance, BS in Computer Science; is certified in ITIL
Service Management and is a certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA),
Certified Systems Professional (CSP) and Certified Data Processor (CDP).
