Frank Burr
Frank Burr is the CIO\CSO for the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. He has a BS in Computer Science and a Master Degree in Project Management. Frank has been with Catholic Charities for over 15 years. Prior to Catholic Charities he worked at World Book Encyclopedia for 10 years. Frank is a member of Catholic Charities Disaster Response Team, Risk Management Committee, and Corporate Compliance Committee. He developed and is responsible for Catholic Charities I/T disaster recovery and I/T’s part of Catholic Charities business continuity plan. Frank is a member of InfraGard, HTCIA, ISSA, and PMI.
Dan Goetz
I have been surrounded by technology growing up and into the realms of IT in 1999. Since then, I've had the pleasure of sitting in the shoes of an end user, architect, manufacturer, solution provider and service provider specializing in Virtualization, Disaster Recovery, Data Protection, and Storage to name a few. A global view on an IT lifecycle helps me and my customers succeed.

In my current role, I specialize in architecting effective managed infrastructure solutions, primarily on integrated DR solutions with CommVault, VMWare and other exceptional solutions. I strive to deliver infrastructure solutions that help my customers stay competitive through affordably adopting the best technology and services available.
Paul Irwin
I have been in the IT industry in various technical roles for the past 16 years designing, implementing and supporting numerous IT technologies for companies both here in the US as well as abroad in the UK and South Africa. I have hands on experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery solutions from both the traditional approach, as well utilizing and capitalizing on the features and capabilities of today's modern virtualization environments. I have been a Systems Engineer with VMware for almost a year supporting and educating Corporate Resellers with the slew of technology available from VMware.
Kiran Palla
Kiran Palla is a senior leader with 18+ years of IT experience. His focus areas include Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, Cost Optimization, Configuration Management, IT Finance, Process Improvements, Audit & Risk and Business Relationship Management. Over a period of nearly two decades of well-rounded IT experience, he managed teams of several hundreds and successfully ran global organizations.

Kiran’s versatile background in nearly dozen industries always kept him on top of technology innovation. He led several major hurricane disaster recovery efforts like Katrina and Irene and proactively prepared organizations for business continuity like SARS, Bird Flu Pandemic and Snow Blizzards. Kiran also conducts training sessions in leadership development, effective communication, presentation and listening.  

Jeff Roseman
Jeff is Director of Infrastructure & Information Security for Wilton Brands LLC. Wilton Brands Inc. is the largest food and paper crafting company in the highly fragmented U.S. crafts industry. Mr. Roseman oversees the technology management and information security for 15 facilities in the US, Canada, UK, India, Australia and China.

He is a seasoned IT executive with over two decades of experience in both technology management and consulting roles. With experience in global business, marketing, sales, business process re-engineering, and as an IT director, CIO and consultant, he has worked both sides of the technology world. Mr. Roseman possesses an extensive background working with regional, national, and international businesses in a variety of industries including professional services, healthcare, manufacturing, legal, real estate, construction, and non-profit. He has a broad knowledge of IT strategy, networking, telecommunications, training & development, systems integration, mergers and acquisitions, facility relocation, and business continuity planning.

Mr. Roseman continues to be successful moving IT teams from a crises management mentality to predictive, proactive, disciplined organization. He has previously lectured on social media & networking, IT leadership, customer relationship management, endpoint security, and disaster recovery planning. Mr. Roseman has a bachelor’s degree and an MBA in Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Iowa and serves on the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business SoMAC board.

Kevin Russell
Kevin Russell, a Sr. Systems Engineer at Silver Peak, has been contributing to high-performing systems engineering teams for nearly 20 years. Prior to recently joining Silver Peak, Kevin’s expertise in network architecture, security, virtualization, and enterprise storage helped to bolster sales performance and strengthen business relationships at ExaGrid, Riverbed Technology, Juniper Networks.
Mike Salins
Mike Salins is a Solution Architect with Actifio. His 20 years in IT have been split between working on the vendor and consumer sides of the equation. This has allowed him to work in depth with all aspects of the solutions he touched, as well as giving him exposure to a large number of environments at companies ranging in size from a few dozen employees to 100,000+ employees. In all cases Mike has remained hands-on with the solutions he evaluated, architected, sold, deployed, and supported. His roles on the vendor side have all included post-sales work in addition to pre-sales. The solutions he has worked with include data protection, deduplication, server virtualization, SAN infrastructure and storage, and highly-available application architecture.

Nick Schmidt

Nick Schmidt is currently the senior manager of CDW’s Information Technology, overseeing IT infrastructure Services. Mr. Schmidt’s organization encompasses Telecommunications, Network Services, System Engineering, IT Security, and Data Center Services. He is a 30-year I.T. veteran. with extensive experience leading organizations ranging from domestically focused operations to multi-million dollar global technology organizations.  Prior to CDW, Mr. Schmidt has served in multiple capacities in private and publically held companies primarily focusing on infrastructure excellence. With extensive experience gained from within major telecommunications providers as well as leading consumers of telecommunications services, Mr. Schmidt brings a wealth of information to his perspective.

Brian Sherman
With 25+ years in IT, Brian is a member of the Global Technical Assurance team in Zurich’s Group Ops/Tech - IT Infrastructure organization.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University, Brian spent many years with the yellow pages companies of the Dun and Bradstreet corporation (DnB), ultimately moving to Chicago to build and manage an IT team for DonTech, a publishing partnership between Ameritech and DnB. Brian came to Zurich Insurance Group in time to help roll their first Windows NT Client/Server application into production. Over 19 years at Zurich, Brian has held several management and technical roles, including serving as a lead Windows Server engineer through significant growth and consolidation / optimization periods for distributed servers, the development and maturation of Zurich’s disaster recovery preparedness in North America, datacenter relocations and consolidations, and the outsourcing of Zurich’s IT infrastructure.
Paul Timmerman
Paul Timmerman, AdvizeX’s Vice President of Solution Strategy is responsible for collaborating with partners and customers to deliver impactful technology solutions. Paul joined AdvizeX in 2004 and has released numerous successful initiatives, including Next Generation Backup, Push Button DR, Virtual Data Center, and a range of Strategic Assessments. Most recently, Paul directed the AdvizeX cloud strategy which helped customers create competitive differentiators in their industry.

Paul has over 14 years of progressively expanding roles in the enterprise data center industry, with a particular focus in leading creative teams to solve complex challenges.

Kurt A. Troyer
Kurt Troyer is the Director of Corporate Infrastructure at ITW. He is responsible for the strategy and development of Infrastructure Operations, Infrastructure Architecture, Service Management, and Information Security at ITW and its various business units. Kurt has over 15 years of experience in technology and security management, primarily in the financial services industry. Celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2012, ITW is a Fortune 150 global diversified industrial manufacturer of value-added consumables and specialty equipment with related service businesses. The Company focuses on profitable growth and strong returns across worldwide platforms and businesses.
