David Klauser
As the Senior vAM for VCE supporting the IL mid-market, Klauser is responsible for the delivery of next generation Converged & Hyper-Converged Solutions transforming the economics, agility and profitability of enterprises as they transition to SDN and hybrid cloud-enabled business models.
Over twenty years Klauser has aligned with data center pioneers, end-user computing innovators and enterprise software providers including RES Software, Microsoft, Dell, EMC, VMware and Cisco. Klauser built a team that developed Chicago’s first data storage integrator, and has developed a network of global alliances, National DMR’s and regional partners as well as M&A and investor lead restructuring.
Klauser graduated from The University of Minnesota with a BA in Economics and has three daughters and his son who range from a junior in high school to his youngest 4th grader in Naperville.

 
Justin Mescher
Justin Mescher is Chief Technology Officer at Integrated Data Storage. Overseeing all aspects of engineering, through design, sales and delivery, he leads the company in its vision and execution of delivering the next-generation datacenter to customers. During his tenure, the IDS engineering team has been awarded EMC’s Velocity Services Quality Award for exemplary customer satisfaction and has been named to CRN’s Tech Elite 250, a list of the industry’s top VARs with deep technical expertise and premier certifications. Before becoming CTO, Justin was a top performing Pre-Sales Engineer at IDS with a focus on solution design and new business acquisition.

Previous to his role at Integrated Data Storage, Justin managed a large healthcare IT organization in Central Illinois where he spearheaded the rollout of a VMware infrastructure within the environment. In addition, while working for EMC, he leveraged his industry knowledge in a consulting position for the Chicago market, advising clients for storage and server consolidation, backup, disaster recovery and virtualization.

Justin attended Bradley University and graduated with a degree in Business Computer Systems.
 
Doug Miller
Doug Miller brings a wealth of experience and understanding of software markets to VaraLogix, having held executive positions at 12 technology startups over the past 30 years, including BuildForge (IBM), Authoria, Hire.com, Dazel (HP), Powersoft (Sybase), Candle Corporation, and Computer Corporation of America. Responsible for strategy and marketing, Doug has been involved in designing the business side of hosted software and SaaS companies since the late 90’s, giving him a unique perspective to both the technical and business benefits of “the cloud.”
 
Paul Quaglia
Paul Quaglia holds the position of Head of IT Operations and Strategic Alliances for Hospira, a global specialty pharmaceutical and medication delivery company. Paul brings over 20 years of IT leadership experience in IT Strategy, Application Development and Support, Infrastructure, Help Desk, Service Management, Governance, Sourcing Strategy, Outsourcing, Vendor & Asset Management, Risk Management, Staff Development, Business / IT Alignment, Budgets, Long Range Plans and Process Improvements in various industries including Pharmaceutical, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Retail and Start-Up. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree In Engineering, Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana. Paul is a Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP) awarded by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) and is also ITIL Foundations 3.0 certified.
 

Nick Schmidt

Nick Schmidt is currently the senior manager of CDW’s Information Technology, overseeing IT infrastructure Services. Mr. Schmidt’s organization encompasses Telecommunications, Network Services, System Engineering, IT Security, and Data Center Services. He is a 30-year I.T. veteran. with extensive experience leading organizations ranging from domestically focused operations to multi-million dollar global technology organizations.  Prior to CDW, Mr. Schmidt has served in multiple capacities in private and publically held companies primarily focusing on infrastructure excellence. With extensive experience gained from within major telecommunications providers as well as leading consumers of telecommunications services, Mr. Schmidt brings a wealth of information to his perspective.

 
Sally Schmidt
Sally Schmidt is a Web Solutions Consultant at Avastone Technologies, a division of Heartland Business Systems. She has 15 years of professional experience in the Internet industry working with clients on strategy, design and implementation of websites, creating online communities, and developing and managing social media and mobile initiatives. Her experience includes projects with IBM, Kimberly-Clark, NFL, Kohler, Pfizer and MTV/CMT. Sally holds a BS in Mathematical Sciences from Baylor University and MS in Marketing Analysis from UW-Milwaukee.
 
Matt Stratton
As Director of Technology Operations at Apartments.com, Matt Stratton is responsible for giving senior leadership oversight to many IT areas, including infrastructure, service management, systems engineering, cloud computing and process automation. Additionally, Matt provides technology vendor relationship management and guidance to Product, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Marketing business units. He’s been an instrumental change agent in aligning the technology organization with long-term success. Most recently, he’s been focused on automation of operational processes and private cloud strategies.

Matt spearheaded an initiative to meet increased demand at Apartments.com by implementing service-focused IT processes, fundamentally changing the way in which the business addresses system stability, problem resolution and change management. As a result, overall productivity has increased, allowing the product delivery teams to focus on creating the best possible solutions to meet the needs of customers, including renters and property management companies across the country.

Prior to Apartments.com, Matt worked in various infrastructure and operations capacities with JPMorganChase, Heller Financial, GE Capital, and Heidrick & Struggles. With more than 15 years of experience rooted in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture and IT service management, Matt’s sought-after expertise has been showcased in a variety of industry panels and case studies with leading IT companies, including Microsoft.
 
Floyd Strimling
Floyd Strimling is a Senior Director and Cloud Technology Evangelist at Zenoss and he is responsible for our outward evangelism including speaking engagements, technical papers, webinars, blogging, and deep technical marketing analysis Additionally, Floyd leads our worldwide field pre-sales engineering team.

Floyd is formerly the Chief Technical Strategist at AlterPoint, Inc., where he was responsible for the strategic direction, development, and technical sales execution of high value niche software products directed at large enterprises and telecommunications providers. Prior to AlterPoint, Floyd has held various leadership positions at leading edge technology companies such as Cassatt, Altiris, Juniper, Inktomi, and AT&T.

Floyd enjoys creating, debating, and following technology trends with the goal of making them a reality. Floyd’s unique background spans both hardware and software environments with experience in Cloud Computing/Autonomic Computing, Datacenter Automation, Virtualization, Networking and Security. Diego Zamboni
Diego Zamboni is Senior Security Advisor at CFEngine AS, and the author of the book "Learning CFEngine 3" published by O'Reilly Media. He has more than 20 years of experience in system administration and security, and has worked in both the applied and theoretical sides of the computer science field. He holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University, has worked as a
sysadmin at a supercomputing center, as a researcher at the IBM Zurich Research Lab, and as a consultant at HP Enterprise Services. These days, he splits his time between defining and guiding the security strategy at CFEngine, nurturing the CFEngine community, coding useful CFEngine policies, and spending time with his family. He lives in Queretaro, Mexico with his wife and two daughters.
