Dr. Michael Chahino
Dr. Chahino has served as an executive director of network operations and information security at Elgin Community College (ECC) since January 2006. He is also an adjunct faculty member of computer & information systems, economics, business, and management at the college. Prior to working at ECC Dr. Chahino worked in different capacities with National University of Health Sciences, Devry University, the Universal Technical Institute and the United State Department of State. Dr. Chahino possesses a bachelor degree and a master degree in economics from Illinois State University and has a doctorate degree in educational technology from Northern Illinois University.
 

David A. Chapa
David A. Chapa is the Managing Partner and CTO at Elovate. He leads Elovate’s long-term technology vision and is responsible for industry thought leadership, advanced solution incubation, and partner relationships to deliver exceptional customer value.
Prior to joining Elovate, David has driven key technology roadmaps and initiatives to improve overall customer experience, partner relationships, and raise corporate awareness by as much as 40% through his blogging, articles and speaking engagements. For the last 12 years, David has managed global teams for such companies as Quantum, NetApp, Seagate, and most recently EMC, where he served as the Global CTO for the Isilon Division.
He is a member of SNIA DPCO (Data Protection, Capacity Optimization) Committee, co-founder of American Wounded Veterans Foundation, co-founder of ConneXion Spot, LLC a coworking community, and serves on the board of directors for both. He has also done voluntary work for Colorado Wounded Vet Run, the annual motorcycle ride sponsored by American Wounded Veterans Foundation, whose all volunteer staff’s mission is to raise money to support a local hero, wounded in combat, to help meet family needs. David is an active member of his community in Castle Rock, CO, where he is involved with YEA (Young Entrepreneurs across America), and the 104 Initiative, a group of local investors with a passion and mission to support local economic growth through the startup community.
David lives in beautiful Colorado with his wife Trudi and their three children. When not working, you may find David playing guitar, performing classic rock and country tunes around town and in local establishments. He has a collection of 14 guitars, with one on the way. If not music, then motorcycles; he enjoys riding his Harley to clear his mind and breathe the fresh mountain air.
David studied Computer Science at Harper College, Palatine, IL and Illinois College, Jacksonville, IL. David also successfully completed NetApp Senior Leadership Programs, which is a several week program of accelerated learning in which he studied the business side of technology.

 
Everett Dolgner
Everett is the director of storage and replication product management for Silver Peak. He brings over 15 years of experience in the data storage industry. Everett has held positions with companies across the storage industry including McDATA, Hitachi Data Systems, Nishan Systems and SANavigator. Everett works closely with Silver Peak storage partners to help build complete solutions for replication and remote data access.
 

Joni Ferneau
Joni Ferneau is the Director of Technical Infrastructure at Flexera Software in Itasca, IL. She leads the global infrastructure teams as an IT warrior, driving improvements to security, infrastructure, and IT support services. Her career accomplishments include a recent corporate Headquarters move to Itasca, migration of a corporate website and content management system from an on-prem to a cloud-based solution, and multiple re-architecture activities to scale the infrastructure for a fast-growing software development company. She received her M.B.A from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Management at DePaul and her B.S. in Music Business from Butler University. Ken Giden
Ken Giden is a 16 year storage industry professional focused primarily within the Backup and Disaster Recovery arena. As a graduate of the School of Electrical Engineering at Purdue University, he began his career with Storage Technology Corporation (StorageTek) in 1997 as an Electrical Engineer on the STK 9840 tape drive design team. While continuing his tenure with STK, he moved into Technical Sales positioning the entire STK tape, disk, and library product line to current and prospective customers. After STK, he spent the next 4 ˝ years at VERITAS Software Corporation (now Symantec) primarily supporting one of the industry’s largest backup applications – NetBackup – in addition to other Disaster Recovery software modules (replication, logical volume management, clustering, etc.). He also worked as a Senior Manager with Hitachi Data Systems, his responsibility included worldwide product management in the area of capacity optimization. He now is a Senior Technical Engineer for Coraid. He also holds Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Purdue University.

 
Laszlo Gonc
Laszlo Gonc began his twenty-five year career working and consulting for some of the top law firms in the Chicago area. He developed and taught large database systems design, creating large application models and wide-area networks to support them. He continued his career as an activist for better database design, rapid application development and usable program interfaces, providing consulting services for accounting and law firms, law enforcement, government agencies, national manufacturers, non-profits and Fortune 1000 companies. As a change agent, he built a distinguished twelve year record of progressive achievement with a mid-size health plan administering the BlueCross BlueShield national PPO plan serving employees and retirees of the Illinois Central Railroad, now owned by the Canadian National Railway. Currently as the Director of ISS for JUF, the largest non-profit social services agency in Illinois, he manages a full service IT department delivering to JUF and its affiliates web and application programming services, telecommunications, wide-area network infrastructure, security, central operations and a help desk center for numerous offices including Washington, D.C. and Israel.

Outside of work, Laszlo is dynamic within his community and profession as a volunteer, mentor and professional presenter. He is an active member of the Society for Information Management (SIM) and Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). He is also a contributing board member with the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) and the Illinois Technology Foundation (ITF) as well as a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Executive Council. 
 

Kevin Jablonski
Mr. Jablonski is the President and CEO of DVC Management. He is a globally accredited, certified data center expert who has worked with many companies on their data center strategies. He has a great reputation for determining Total Cost of Ownership and proving in options that ultimately provide a less costly and more efficient long term strategy.

 
R. Kent Landry
Kent brings his 20+ year background in IT working for industry leading information management and IT companies - Lexis-Nexis, IBM-Lexmark, Dell and running his own company as an IT VAR. Specific expertise include managed services, professional services & Cloud solutions focused on enterprise level IT infrastructure, asset management and mobile application solutions.
Kent brings a deep understanding of technology, solutions, trends, competitive landscape, and business drivers within the Cloud computing & Data Center Managed Services market. Kent resides in Austin, Texas with his wife and two children. He is a graduate of Wright State University and holds an Intellectual Property Patent # 6,832,250, “Usage Based Billing and Management system – December 2004, an ITAM SaaS solution.”
 
Nicholas Reker
Nicholas is currently a Senior Systems Engineer with ExaGrid Systems Inc. helping with backup solutions design. He has 13 years of industry experience including 8 years of experience as an IT end user, and 5 years of experience working directly for Vendors with a focus in ITIL business process management, data storage systems and disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies.
