David A. Chapa
David A. Chapa is the Managing Partner and CTO at Elovate. He leads Elovate’s long-term technology vision and is responsible for industry thought leadership, advanced solution incubation, and partner relationships to deliver exceptional customer value.
Prior to joining Elovate, David has driven key technology roadmaps and initiatives to improve overall customer experience, partner relationships, and raise corporate awareness by as much as 40% through his blogging, articles and speaking engagements. For the last 12 years, David has managed global teams for such companies as Quantum, NetApp, Seagate, and most recently EMC, where he served as the Global CTO for the Isilon Division.
He is a member of SNIA DPCO (Data Protection, Capacity Optimization) Committee, co-founder of American Wounded Veterans Foundation, co-founder of ConneXion Spot, LLC a coworking community, and serves on the board of directors for both. He has also done voluntary work for Colorado Wounded Vet Run, the annual motorcycle ride sponsored by American Wounded Veterans Foundation, whose all volunteer staff’s mission is to raise money to support a local hero, wounded in combat, to help meet family needs. David is an active member of his community in Castle Rock, CO, where he is involved with YEA (Young Entrepreneurs across America), and the 104 Initiative, a group of local investors with a passion and mission to support local economic growth through the startup community.
David lives in beautiful Colorado with his wife Trudi and their three children. When not working, you may find David playing guitar, performing classic rock and country tunes around town and in local establishments. He has a collection of 14 guitars, with one on the way. If not music, then motorcycles; he enjoys riding his Harley to clear his mind and breathe the fresh mountain air.
David studied Computer Science at Harper College, Palatine, IL and Illinois College, Jacksonville, IL. David also successfully completed NetApp Senior Leadership Programs, which is a several week program of accelerated learning in which he studied the business side of technology.

 
Paul Crepeau
Paul Crepeau is the Disaster Recovery Manager for U.S. Cellular® and is an experienced Information Technology professional with a background as an IBM mainframe systems programmer, technical support manager, Data Center manager, and Disaster Recovery consultant and manager. Additionally, Paul’s experiences include these roles within the Insurance, Banking, Manufacturing, and Consulting industries.
Paul is a successful and proven Business Continuity Planner. Paul has created and project managed over 30+ disaster recovery plans for clients such as small banks, state government offices, and large national and international corporations over the past 20 years. Paul has created plans for platforms and environments, which include but not limited to mainframe, AS/400, MS Windows Servers, CITRIX servers, UNIX, AIX, CISCO networks, DB2, Oracle DB, and VSAM.
 

Ken Giden
Ken Giden is a 16 year storage industry professional focused primarily within the Backup and Disaster Recovery arena. As a graduate of the School of Electrical Engineering at Purdue University, he began his career with Storage Technology Corporation (StorageTek) in 1997 as an Electrical Engineer on the STK 9840 tape drive design team. While continuing his tenure with STK, he moved into Technical Sales positioning the entire STK tape, disk, and library product line to current and prospective customers. After STK, he spent the next 4 ½ years at VERITAS Software Corporation (now Symantec) primarily supporting one of the industry’s largest backup applications – NetBackup – in addition to other Disaster Recovery software modules (replication, logical volume management, clustering, etc.). He also worked as a Senior Manager with Hitachi Data Systems, his responsibility included worldwide product management in the area of capacity optimization. He now is a Senior Technical Engineer for Coraid. He also holds Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Purdue University.

 
Dave Hodgson
Dave Hodgson has almost 15 years of experience leading and building IT. He is soon to be a double D grad from DePaul University in Chicago. His experience covers a multitude of industries from Software Services, Distribution, Publishing, Hosting, and Manufacturing. Dave also has extensive experience in the security world having managed IT for a large Chicago based Data Security company. Most of his positions have involved taking the IT side of an organization from the startup phase over the hump to become an enterprise class department through implementing structure, polices, procedures, standards and developing high performance teams.
Most recently Dave was recruited to overhaul the infrastructure side of IT for a large US based defense manufacturer. In his current role Dave is responsible for a complete technology upgrade across the organization, covering network, systems, end user, and support. He has also renegotiated telecom contracts resulting in over $10,000 of savings per month.
Dave is a hands on leader with deep technical knowledge and extensive architecture experience covering technology from almost every major vendor. He travels almost every week spending time with his team, developing plans, strategy, and interfacing with the various business units. He is constantly looking across the organization to see how he can further develop and utilize the resources of IT to help drive the business forward.
 
Chris Hueneke
Chris Hueneke is IT Security & Network Manager for Ace Hardware Corporation based in Oak Brook, IL. Chris’ twenty-year career in financial services, airline, manufacturing, and retail industries provided him experience in various global roles in security engineering, risk management, compliance and business continuity. As the IT Security & Network Manager for Ace Hardware, his corporate-wide responsibilities include the strategy and planning, engineering, implementation, operations and continuity of security and network infrastructure for the Data Center, Corporate Campus, Distribution Center and Retail Store environments. He has been successful in leveraging his visionary, leadership and process improvement skills to provide effective and efficient infrastructure solutions integrated with security, governance, risk, compliance and disaster recovery at the right cost to the business. Chris currently holds CISSP, ITIL and ISO 27000 Lead Auditor certifications and is a member of the FBI InfraGard and U.S. Secret Service Chicago Electronic Crimes Task Force. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Economics from Clarke University.
 
Alberto Jimenez
Alberto is an Advisory Services Principal, and Datalink’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Practice Lead. Alberto is a former senior manager with SunGard Availability Services, associate director with Protiviti, and technology manager at Accenture. Alberto has led a variety of business and IT risk management, IT strategy, and business continuity efforts at global organizations, including the delivery of business continuity, crisis management, disaster recovery, pandemic preparedness, project risk management, cloud readiness and migration, and audit solutions. His industry experience includes banking, brokerage, insurance, healthcare, biotech, energy, manufacturing, transportation, telecommunications, retail and media and entertainment. Additionally, Alberto is a certified project manager (PMP) and business continuity professional (CBCP).
 

David Klauser
As the Senior vAM for VCE supporting the IL mid-market, Klauser is responsible for the delivery of next generation Converged & Hyper-Converged Solutions transforming the economics, agility and profitability of enterprises as they transition to SDN and hybrid cloud-enabled business models.
Over twenty years Klauser has aligned with data center pioneers, end-user computing innovators and enterprise software providers including RES Software, Microsoft, Dell, EMC, VMware and Cisco. Klauser built a team that developed Chicago’s first data storage integrator, and has developed a network of global alliances, National DMR’s and regional partners as well as M&A and investor lead restructuring.
Klauser graduated from The University of Minnesota with a BA in Economics and has three daughters and his son who range from a junior in high school to his youngest 4th grader in Naperville.

 
Paul Niser
Paul Niser has twenty years’ experience in the areas of Information Technology, Legal and Compliance. Paul brings to the table a wide range of experiences in Information Security, Privacy, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, IT Audit, Risk Management, Vendor Due Diligence and Program Management. He has previously worked for some of the world's largest and most successful financial firms including GCM Grosvenor, Citadel Investment Group and Bank of America. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Chicago chapter of InfraGard and was selected as a participant in the FBI's Citizens Academy. He has written articles for Microsoft's MSDN, Windows Magazine, Exchange and Outlook Magazine, Exchange and Outlook Administrator and Toastmasters International Magazine. Paul is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
