Joe Cannella
Joe Cannella has spent his entire career in Information Systems working with medium-sized manufacturers across many industries including metals, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, electronics, and automotive.  He is an experienced IS executive with extensive experience leading people, managing large projects, and administering multi-million dollar budgets. For the last five years, Joe has led the IS Team at Tempel Steel including their worldwide implementation of Oracle E-Business.  Tempel is the worlds largest, independent manufacturer of magnetic steel laminations with operations in North America and Asia. Their  laminations are used in motors, transformers, pumps, generators, and alternators. Tempel has a reputation for high quality parts, advanced engineering, and manufacturing flexibility. Tempel’s systems are critical to their competitive edge for managing material, process, tooling, engineering, and customer information. Prior to Tempel, Joe spent 20 years in a consulting firm that specialized in systems and operations improvement for mid-sized manufacturers. He started as a systems designer, became a partner, and eventually led the firms as president. He has taught Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, and Information Technology classes at the college level and for many companies; published articles on Systems Planning and Implementation, ERP Optimization, and Advanced Systems Technologies for Manufacturers; and has been a frequent speaker for American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), Illinois Manufacturer Association (IMA), and as an independent expert for many software vendors.

David A. Chapa
David A. Chapa is the Managing Partner and CTO at Elovate. He leads Elovate’s long-term technology vision and is responsible for industry thought leadership, advanced solution incubation, and partner relationships to deliver exceptional customer value.
Prior to joining Elovate, David has driven key technology roadmaps and initiatives to improve overall customer experience, partner relationships, and raise corporate awareness by as much as 40% through his blogging, articles and speaking engagements. For the last 12 years, David has managed global teams for such companies as Quantum, NetApp, Seagate, and most recently EMC, where he served as the Global CTO for the Isilon Division.
He is a member of SNIA DPCO (Data Protection, Capacity Optimization) Committee, co-founder of American Wounded Veterans Foundation, co-founder of ConneXion Spot, LLC a coworking community, and serves on the board of directors for both. He has also done voluntary work for Colorado Wounded Vet Run, the annual motorcycle ride sponsored by American Wounded Veterans Foundation, whose all volunteer staff’s mission is to raise money to support a local hero, wounded in combat, to help meet family needs. David is an active member of his community in Castle Rock, CO, where he is involved with YEA (Young Entrepreneurs across America), and the 104 Initiative, a group of local investors with a passion and mission to support local economic growth through the startup community.
David lives in beautiful Colorado with his wife Trudi and their three children. When not working, you may find David playing guitar, performing classic rock and country tunes around town and in local establishments. He has a collection of 14 guitars, with one on the way. If not music, then motorcycles; he enjoys riding his Harley to clear his mind and breathe the fresh mountain air.
David studied Computer Science at Harper College, Palatine, IL and Illinois College, Jacksonville, IL. David also successfully completed NetApp Senior Leadership Programs, which is a several week program of accelerated learning in which he studied the business side of technology.


Ken Giden
Ken Giden is a 16 year storage industry professional focused primarily within the Backup and Disaster Recovery arena. As a graduate of the School of Electrical Engineering at Purdue University, he began his career with Storage Technology Corporation (StorageTek) in 1997 as an Electrical Engineer on the STK 9840 tape drive design team. While continuing his tenure with STK, he moved into Technical Sales positioning the entire STK tape, disk, and library product line to current and prospective customers. After STK, he spent the next 4 ½ years at VERITAS Software Corporation (now Symantec) primarily supporting one of the industry’s largest backup applications – NetBackup – in addition to other Disaster Recovery software modules (replication, logical volume management, clustering, etc.). He also worked as a Senior Manager with Hitachi Data Systems, his responsibility included worldwide product management in the area of capacity optimization. He now is a Senior Technical Engineer for Coraid. He also holds Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Purdue University.

Jeremy Kubik
As Director of IT Operations, Jeremy directs all infrastructure technology for CompuSystems, Inc. Jeremy has been with CompuSystems for over 12 years and is responsible for designing, improving, and maintaining infrastructure while providing solutions and services to clients. The business requires 24/7 availability to provide registration services online and at show site in as many as 10 cities per week. Jeremy has implemented a 4 year plan for a redundant infrastructure environment to meet business requirements while promoting disaster avoidance to the organization. Jeremy earned his bachelor of science from DeVry University and has recently completed his Wood Badge Leadership program in Scouting. When not “playing NASA”, as his wife suggests, he can be found doing scouting activities in the community with his son and two daughters or at the lake with his family.
Robert Osborne
Robert has worked for some of the largest Fortune 100 Companies in the world. He has over 20 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, planning, implementation, training and sales. Working for companies such as United Airlines, IBM, Microsoft and currently for Dell Inc.
Stemming from a background in Statistics and Artificial Intelligence programming, each new venture has provided me the opportunity to do things that were not done before in each of the companies I have worked for or with.
Adding IP and PC connectivity in the field and office in the US Army before it was done in the commercial sector. Adding A.I. and PCs in operating rooms in Hospitals before it was done as common place. To world wide implementations of Networks, client server, mainframe integrations, security, disaster recovery, and scalable designs across the world.

Jack Pressman

Mr. Pressman has over 25 years of experience in designing and deploying advanced IT projects. He has a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering.
Mr. Pressman has been designing and building mission critical IT facilities and wide area networks for the past over 15 years. He was the Technology Architect for the new Chicago Police Headquarters, the Chicago Police Wide Area Network, the Ford Supplier Campus (Chicago), the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Intermodal (Joliet) and the DuPage National Technology Park (West Chicago).
Mr. Pressman has extensive industry experience in enterprise-wide Business Continuity and Disaster / Workplace Recovery Plan implementation. Mr. Pressman is currently CDGI’s technology architect for developing over 1,500,000 SF of Tier 3 / Tier 3+ data center, collocation and disaster / workplace recovery facilities in conjunction with deploying a secure private 10 / 40 GbE optical network throughout North America.


Lucy Risner

Lucy Risner is a Certified Business Continuity Planner and recently earned the Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) from DRI International.  Lucy is well versed in the ten subject areas of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning including Business Impact Analysis, Developing Plans and Strategies and Crisis Management.  Lucy has leveraged her IT background to support the connection between Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery.  Prior to joining Zurich in March of 2007, Lucy was the Business Continuity Officer at a bank.  Before Lucy chose to specialize in Business Continuity, she held various positions in Information Technology supporting a breadth of business functions including Real Estate, Operations and Accounting at Fortune 500 companies.   Lucy has experience in Project Management, business process analysis and software development and has also earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.  Lucy has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and focused on process and metrics and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Organizational Development.  As part of her commitment to continuing education, she earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation which helps her achieve the foundation understanding to support the various Zurich business and support areas.

Eric Stenstrom
Eric Stenstrom has over 20 years of IT management experience for mid-sized professional service firms which routinely provide emergency assistance after hours. Eric has directed all aspects of the technology operations, (e.g. servers, workstations, file systems, email, systems management, security) and works closely with senior management on creating a strategic vision to meet stated business goals. Responsibilities include establishing annual goals, project planning, IT staffing, staff training, network/data center, disaster recovery, research & development of new technologies, enterprise software license management, capital investments and contract negotiation. Over the past several years, Eric has overseen the implementation of several disaster recovery initiatives from file backup in the cloud, to complex system failovers with clustered Exchange environments, emergency generators for data centers and adheres firmly to a backup of a backup strategy. Eric has a degree from the University of Illinois in Industrial Design.  
Nayan Thakkar
Nayan Thakkar is an accomplished Information Security, Risk, Compliance, DR/BC, Network designs and implementations professional with over 17 years of experience working with the Financial Services, Consulting, Non-for-profit sectors. As an IT Risk and Compliance Manager for VW Credit, Inc., in his role as a Lead Information Risk Officer (LIRO) and Lead Information Compliance Officer (LICO), he has managed to implement of all aspects of the risk function, including implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, access measure, manager and report risks as well as aligning the compliance program with the business of the company in order to improve its overall performance. With his background of managing Network Infrastructure and projects, he has been instrumental in managing and maintaining Disaster Recovery Plan and Business Continuity programs while incorporating changes from business requirements as well as those from IT projects. In addition, he has coordinated with Legal and business units to manage and report on IT Risk Assessment program while integrating third party assessments into overall vendor management program for those processing or storing confidential information and performing re-certifications.

Mr. Thakkar holds Masters in Information Technology from Northwestern University and Masters in Business Finance and Banking from MS University of Baroda, India. He is also accredited certifications in CISM, VCP, CSM, CCNA, CNE & MCSE.
Clint Wyckoff
Clint joined Veeam October 2012 from Dick’s Sporting Goods where he was responsible for the Corporate Virtual Infrastructure with locations in Pittsburgh and Dallas. As a customer of Veeam he was critical to the successful implementation of the nWorks MP and VeeamONE solution. Clint has extensive expertise in the area of x86 disaster recovery techniques and Microsoft Failover Cluster Technologies.
